Create a brand activity pipeline leveraging global concepts as well as local insights The role of the Senior Brand Manager is to provide the luxury salon-exclusive ALTERNA Haircare brand with brand direction, development and execution of brand marketing programs across ANZ. Develop communication of brand strategies to Sales, Education and other departments. Ensuring alignment of brand strategy with corporate marketing plan, constantly elevating the desirability of ALTERNA to acquire new customers, retain existing customers and drive sales in the luxury Haircare category. Leverage the upcoming exciting ALTERNA brand relaunch to the max.

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Marketing.
  • Minimum of five (5) year’s relevant work experience in Marketing Management, preferably with luxury background in the Consumer Goods market.
  • Exposure in managing multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills to work within a team.
  • Track record of leading new products from concept development to shelf, managing multiple aspects of product commercialisation process.
  • Prior experience leveraging consumer and market insights to develop innovative and effective marketing programs and campaigns.
  • Knowledge of the professional hair category (major competitors, target users, industry trends) and experience in the selective retail (e.g. Sephora) and hair salon channels preferred. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Enable strong teamwork in the ALTERNA ANZ team consisting of a Sales and an Education Manager.
  • Responsible for the planning, development, control and implementation of the ALTERNA brand objectives, strategies and plans within the global business framework and strategic plan.
  • Achieve profitable growth for the ALTERNA brand portfolio as an integral component of the overall business meeting its sales, profit and cash net working capital targets.
  • Monitor, review and analyse key market and sales data for trends, competitive activities, market opportunities and threats.
  • Define brand objectives and strategies for the ALTERNA brand portfolio by analysing brand and market development both locally and internationally
  • Proactive evaluation, management and implementation of new product development and innovation programs for the brand portfolio within the global and local framework and strategic plan. Develop launch plans in conjunction with key stakeholders
  • Plan the investment level and developing briefs and material in conjunction with key stakeholders, especially agencies, for advertising, media, PR, packaging and promotional activities
  • Establish strong working relationships with key ANZ customers, the internal Schwarzkopf Professional ANZ team as well as the ALTERNA HQ in Los Angeles.
