About this Position

  • Dragon Site is the largest adhesive plant in the world. It consolidated several plants and reserved enough space to support capacity expansions. This position will provide overall site management within Dragon Site. Plan, organize, review and control of all production activities. Directly lead production managers and all factory operational functions such as site ME,SHE, Process Engineering, Lean, Digital, Material Management etc. The position has full responsibility to lead the whole organization to achieve the policies and objectives in people, safety, quality, supply services and cost. Ensure alignment to all strategies and directives from the top management of the company including AO China management team and other top decision bodies as needed.

What you´ll do

  • Factory-manpower Organizing and Management (30%):
  • Develop production managers and built talent pool with right succession plan on going. Establish Henkel's culture in people management with collaborative spirit. Allocates job to the factory members.
  • Considering their ability and job load, nominates right person to right place.
  • Evaluates the factory members periodically and applies the results fairly for promotion, salary review with Human- Resource.
  • Trains the factory members internally and externally to ensure their potential ability be developed effectively for their job.
  • Identifies correlates and assesses manpower, manufacturing, technical and personal problems and finds or develops construction solutions.
  • Supervises subordinates to ensure adherence to all security, safety and housekeeping rules as directed by top management.
  • Fills up manpower vacancy; interviews and hires new employee with Human- Resource.
  • Supervises subordinates to be controlled day-off, vacation and absence of the factory members.
  • Encourages people to do their best in doing jobs.

  • Production-activity Management (20%):
  • Supervises the preparation and control of operating budget; set up production plan due to Salas's forecast, stock level and raw materials situation.
  • Controls master-formulations and technical know-how to be protected against competitors’ property.
  • Act as liaison between the production departments and various company divisions and departments in the resolution of operations and production problems.
  • Supervises subordinates to be controlled raw-material order quantities, and delivery for production; controls the inventory of raw-materials and finished goods at every week properly.
  • Coordinates the activities of the various departments, superintendents and supervisor to insure maxim effectiveness is obtained to produce quality products or services within anticipated cost and planned schedules.
  • Monitors and checks production records; daily production results, quality issues and status of machinery.
  • Monitors and checks R&D functions to be done their implementations effectively; new product development, quality control, technical services.
  • Focus on cost saving and contributing margin creation continuously to achieve target; process cost, failure cost, productivity and efficiency.

  • Production-facilities Management (25%):
  • Responsible for strategic development of Dragon Lean thinking. Performs investment for factory facilities to improve and increase production efficiencies and capacity expansions in accordance with due to Salas's forecasts, with sustainable ME standards and principles.
  • Sets up preventives maintenance plan and implements properly.
  • Controls spare parts and consumable materials in order to maintain the optimal facilities condition for production.
  • Supervises energy operation management and sets energy saving KPI.
  • Monitors, studies the up-to-date production facilities and technologies to be competitive in the market.
  • Others (25%) :
  • Analyzes and makes reports of production activity results at the end of every month to the superior: production volume, utilization, manufacturing cost, and man-hours.
  • Contracts government officers for approvals, legal affairs and various issues regarding factory activities.
  • Monitors and supervises logistics' issues: delivery, warehousing, slow moving and transportation cost.
  • Monitors and maintains relations with neighbor around factory.

What makes you a good fit

  • Bachelor’s degree or above.
  • Major in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Management, Industrial Engineer and relevant.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt is preferred.
  • Certificate of Safety for Hazardous Chemical Management for Site Manager.
  • 10-20 years’ working experience in sizable factories in Chemical or Manufacturing industries.
  • Native Chinese speaker.
  • English: fluent.
