You will play a crucial role ensuring through control and continuous improvement of master formulae and manufacturing/ testing processes compliance with customer, Henkel and regulatory requirements. YOUR ROLE  

  • Control the creation and modification of master formulae and production recipes, inspection plans, test methods and related operator level instructions

  • Supervise and participate in QC laboratory activities, including testing, calibration, certificate preparation, measurement system analysis, statistical process control, etc.
  • Assist in preparation/ submission of NICNAS registrations
  • Define and monitor effluent treatment processes to ensure compliance with discharge agreement
  •  Prepare and control raw material and packaging specification
  •  Provide technical expertise to internal stakeholders
  • Participate in problem solving and continuous improvement activities

YOUR SKILLS

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. chemistry, chemical engineering)

  • 3 years in a role managing people

  • 5 years’ experience as chemist in a chemical or manufacturing environment

  • Working knowledge of SAP

  • Experience with adhesive, coating and metal pre-treatment technologies

  • Familiarisation with measurement system analysis and statistical process control and with the NICNAS registration process
