New home improvement product in Australia

Launch of Loctite Kintsuglue

Loctite Kintsuglue is now available in Australia, bringing Henkel’s global innovation to the local market. It was launched in Bunnings Warehouse, an international household hardware chain, on 8 October.

Kintsuglue is a versatile and flexible putty that can be moulded into different shapes and applied to a wide variety of materials or objects. Its flexibility is preserved even after the hardening phase, which makes it easily removable. The new product is also water, temperature and shock resistant, and stronger than common glues. This enables it to be used to reconstruct or protect objects, improve their functionality or even create completely new ones. For example, it can be used to repair mobile phone cables, create new zipper pulls, or protect cracked laptop edges. It is also paintable, making it possible for consumers to match the object’s colour. With such new application areas, Kintsuglue can appeal to new consumer groups.

To support the launch, Henkel Adhesive Technologies is running the #hackbykintsuglue competition from 15 October to 9 December. The public is invited to take a photo or video of how they use Kintsuglue and share this on Facebook, Instagram or YouTube for a chance to win attractive prizes. A winner will be chosen weekly to receive $200 worth of Bunnings Warehouse vouchers. Additionally, the top two entries will be awarded the grand prize of $2500 worth of Flight Centre travel vouchers.

On top of the digital promotions, there are in-store activations with Bunnings Warehouse. Consumers can look out for the promoters carrying our Loctite products in stores.

Kintsuglue is available in two colours, white and black.

The product pack contains examples of the applications of Kintsuglue and a guide for consumers.
