About this Position

We’re seeking a proactive, commercially focused team player to lead the development and implementation of innovative formulation solutions for Henkel’s consumer brands. In this role, you will drive end-to-end innovation—from concept through to execution—ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality, cost efficiency, sustainability, and consumer appeal, all in line with brand objectives. You will also be responsible for managing laboratory activities and maintaining data systems to support formulation excellence. This position is based at our Ingleburn site and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact within a dynamic, forward-thinking team. 

What you´ll do

  • Develop and implement innovative, high-quality formulation solutions that meet global standards for performance, cost, sustainability, safety, and compliance.
  • Conduct formulation qualification and validation, including performance and stability testing, and support product artwork development with technical input.
  • Identify and assess sustainable, high-performing ingredients to drive innovation and support cost and complexity reduction.
  • Research and monitor emerging trends, ingredients, and technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Manage and maintain formulation specifications and databases, applying statistical analysis for data-driven decisions.
  • Oversee laboratory operations, ensuring adherence to Henkel standards, including equipment calibration, testing protocols, and consumables management.
  • Ensure all Research & Development (R&D) practices align with regulatory and internal quality standards.
  • Build strong working relationships with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and key stakeholders across the business.

What makes you a good fit

  • Tertiary qualification in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in product development within FMCG or a similar industry.
  • Skilled in using measurement and testing equipment, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and statistical analysis tools; detail-oriented and eager to learn.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional and collaborative approach.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and provide critical analysis and continuous improvement suggestions.
