About this Position

This position supports Cheonan plant health and safety activities to ensure compliance with regulations and internal standards, while assisting with risk management and promoting a strong safety culture. 

What you´ll do

  • Ensures safe plant operations by implementing strong Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) management practices.
  • Deploys SHE policies, standards, and training to maintain full regulatory and corporate compliance.
  • Leads risk identification, assessment, and mitigation to prevent incidents and enhance safety.
  • Owns and continuously improves the plant’s Safety Management System.
  • Promotes a safety culture through campaigns, workshops, and plant‑wide initiatives.
  • Ensures adherence to local SHE laws and manages compliance risks proactively.
  • Develops and executes annual SHE improvement plans and tracks performance.
  • Supports projects and sustainability efforts while managing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems.

What makes you a good fit

  • A bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of work experience in chemical plant operations, preferably within a multinational company, is required; A good understanding of manufacturing operations is required.
  • SHE‑related qualifications (e.g., Industrial Safety Engineering, Air/Water Environmental Engineering, Hazardous Chemicals) are preferred.
  • Native proficiency in Korean and intermediate proficiency in English (spoken and written) are required.
  • Strong skills in data analysis, time management, verbal communication, and interpersonal interaction are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams, with strong leadership, accountability, and ownership.
