About this Position
This role is part of Henkel GBS+, focusing on designing and building high-quality Android applications while collaborating with global product, design, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-performing mobile solutions.
What you´ll do
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality Android applications using modern frameworks like Kotlin, Jetpack, and Jetpack Compose
- Collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, and product teams to deliver intuitive, high-performing mobile experiences
- Apply clean architecture, best practices, and design patterns to ensure scalable, maintainable code
- Integrate Android applications with cloud services, REST APIs, and backend systems securely and efficiently
- Use AI-assisted development tools to speed up coding, debugging, testing, and documentation
- Ensure excellent app performance, stability, usability, and accessibility
- Contribute to technical decisions, architectural discussions, and code reviews
- Continuously improve development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering standards
What makes you a good fit
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or any related field
- Strong hands-on experience with Android development in Kotlin and the Android SDK
- Deep knowledge of Jetpack, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android UI and UX best practices
- Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and clean code principles
- Experience integrating mobile applications with backend APIs, cloud services, and security standards (e.g., OAuth)
- Familiarity with AI-powered development tools and modern engineering workflows
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
- Fluent English communicator with an ownership mindset, attention to detail, and passion for high-quality mobile UX
