About this Position

The Application Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of three business-critical enterprise applications with a worldwide footprint spanning the Americas, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific time zones. The successful candidate will serve as the single accountable owner across product planning, financial governance, vendor orchestration, compliance, and architecture — ensuring these applications remain secure, performant, and closely aligned with evolving business needs. 

What you´ll do

  • Own the product for all three applications, architecture standards, and budget constraints.
  • Drive annual and multi-year financial planning cycles including budget forecasting, cost tracking, and investment approvals.
  • Ensure all three applications comply with applicable GRC controls and organizational policies.
  • Respond to and orchestrate actions arising from security assessments, audit findings, and regulatory requirements, tracking remediation through to closure.
  • Act as the primary interface for security teams regarding application-level risks, vulnerabilities, and control implementations.
  • Manage the full contract and license lifecycle: proactively flag renewal dates, issue timely purchase orders (POs), and approve related invoices.
  • Lead or support contract negotiations and commercial discussions in partnership with Procurement and Legal.
  • Define, maintain, and report on application-level KPIs covering availability, performance, user adoption, and incident metrics.
  • Lead or co-manage application-related projects such as major version upgrades, global rollouts, platform migrations, and integration initiatives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including infrastructure, security, business stakeholders, and vendor resources.

What makes you a good fit

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • 3 – 5 years of hands-on experience in application management, IT service management, or a comparable role within a global enterprise environment.
  • Proven track record managing business-critical applications across multiple time zones.
  • Demonstrable experience with vendor management, contract lifecycle administration, and PO/invoice processes.
  • Experience working within GRC frameworks and responding to security assessment processes (e.g., SIG, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
  • Previous involvement in application upgrade projects or global rollouts is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise application architectures (e.g., multi-tier, etc..).
  • Familiarity with infrastructure standards including cloud platforms, virtualization, networking, and hosting concepts.
  • Experience with integration technologies and middleware (APIs, ESB, data pipelines).
  • Working knowledge of ITSM tools and processes (incident, change, problem management).
  • Proficiency with standard productivity and collaboration tools (MS Office 365, SharePoint, Confluence, Jira, or equivalent).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and data flow maps.
  • Understanding of enterprise printing architectures and print management platforms.
  • Exposure to task automation tools, scripts.
  • Scripting skills in one or more languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and operational tasks.
  • Experience with server administration and OS-level management (Windows Server / Linux).Familiarity with warehouse management or supply chain IT systems is a plus.
