Leveraging market research data on consumer concerns, Henkel Australia & New Zealand has launched Sard Deo & Sweat stain remover spray, which is specially formulated to remove stains on clothing caused by deodorant and sweat. The product is the first in the market targeting this problem.
A white stain results when the residue from deodorant on our skin is transferred to the fabric, while a yellow stain is caused by an insoluble compound which is formed by the chemical reaction between deodorant and sweat. This problem was identified by Australian consumers as one of their top two concerns during a market survey conducted in 2017.
To meet consumers’ needs and address this problem, the research and development team at Henkel’s R&D Innovation Center in Australia adapted one of our global innovations for the local market, developing the Sard Deo & Sweat stain remover spray. The active ingredients dissolve the insoluble compound so that deodorant and sweat stains can be washed away more easily.
Sard Deo & Sweat stain remover spray was launched in October 2018 and is available in Woolworths Supermarkets in Australia.
